Frequently asked questions

Is FRS 102 supported?

Yes — FRS 102 Section 1A for small companies. Full FRS 102 (non-1A) is not supported; that's the territory of audited mid-market companies and is outside our scope.

What about FRS 105?

FRS 105 micro-entity accounts are the default and what most TinyTax customers file. Balance-sheet-only with the minimum disclosures Companies House requires, fully iXBRL-tagged.

Do you do dormant accounts?

Yes. Dormant accounts for companies with no significant transactions are supported and filed direct to Companies House. There's also a CT600 nil return for HMRC if needed.

Do you support charity SORP accounts?

No — charity SORP accounts are not supported. We support CT600 filings for charities (e.g. for trading subsidiaries) but the accounts themselves would need to be produced elsewhere.

My accounting period is longer than 12 months. Can I file accounts for that?

Yes. Accounts cover the full period. Note that the corresponding CT600 will be split into two submissions (the first 12 months, then the remainder) — see the long-period CT600 page.

How are accounts filed?

Direct to Companies House via their software-filing API. You get a Companies House submission number back within minutes; the accounts appear on the public register as soon as Companies House has processed them.
