How to restore a company you have archived by mistake on TinyTax. Archiving removes a company from your dashboard but does not delete it — you can restore it at any time.
How to Restore an Archived Company
Re-adding the company to your dashboard automatically unarchives it:
- Go to your Dashboard
- Click the Add Company button
- Enter your company number (the 8-character number from Companies House)
- TinyTax will find the company and add it back to your dashboard — your previous filing data is fully restored
Why Archive Exists
Archiving is useful when you no longer need a company on your dashboard (for example, a company you have finished filing for). It is a soft removal — the company and all its data remain in TinyTax, hidden from view.
Common Questions
Will I lose any filing data?
No. Archiving and restoring a company does not affect your filings, submissions, or any stored data. Everything is preserved exactly as it was.
I archived the wrong company — do I need to do anything urgently?
No urgency. Archiving simply hides the company from your dashboard. Restore it at any time using the steps above and it will reappear with all its data intact.
Can I archive a company again after restoring it?
Yes. Use the archive option (available from the company row on the dashboard) whenever you want to hide it again.
