What Happens After You Pay — Subscription Confirmation and Next Steps

After subscribing to TinyTax, you will be redirected back to the filing form — this is expected behaviour, not an error.

Did My Payment Go Through?

If you completed the checkout process and were returned to the filing form, your subscription is active and your payment has been taken. You can verify this at any time by checking Account Settings, where your active plan and renewal date will be shown.

You will also receive a confirmation email from our payment processor (Stripe) with a receipt.

Why Was I Redirected to the Data Entry Form?

After subscribing, TinyTax returns you to your filing form so you can continue where you left off. This is deliberate — your figures are saved, your subscription is active, and you are ready to proceed.

If you were prompted to select your company during checkout, that is normal. TinyTax uses that selection to link your subscription to the correct company.

What Do I Do Next?

Once you have subscribed, the Submit button on the preview page will be available. The typical flow is:

  1. Complete your figures on the filing form
  2. Click Preview to review your CT600 and accounts
  3. Click Submit to file with HMRC and Companies House
If you have already entered your figures, go to Preview to check everything and submit.

Common Questions

I was taken back to the form — are my figures still there?

Yes. TinyTax saves your figures automatically as you work. Going back to the form after payment does not clear anything.

I did not receive a receipt email

Check your spam folder. Receipts come from Stripe (payments@stripe.com), not from TinyTax directly. If you still cannot find it, contact us at hello@tinytax.co.uk and we can confirm your payment status.

My submission still shows as "pending" or "in progress"

This means your figures have been saved but not yet submitted. Your subscription is active — simply go to the Preview page and click Submit when ready.
