Starting a Filing Before Creating Your Account
TinyTax lets you start a filing before creating an account — useful if you want to explore the process or get your figures ready before subscribing. Once you register and log in, your filing is automatically linked to your account.
How it Works
When you start a filing from the homepage without an account, TinyTax saves your progress in a temporary filing session. When you later create an account and log in:
- TinyTax detects the filing session you created earlier
- Your company is automatically added to your dashboard
- Any data you entered is preserved and ready to continue
If Your Dashboard Shows "No Companies Found"
If you see "No Companies Found" right after creating your account, try either of these:
Option 1 — Refresh the page: Simply reload your dashboard. TinyTax links your previous filing session on each page load, so a refresh is often enough.
Option 2 — Log out and back in: Sign out from the menu in the top right, then sign back in. Your company will appear on the dashboard.
Viewing Your Filing History
Once your company appears on the dashboard, click the arrow (→) at the end of the company row to open the details drawer. This shows:
- All filing periods for your company
- The status of each submission (accepted, pending, draft)
- Links to view submitted documents
Common Questions
I filed before registering — is my data saved?
Yes. TinyTax saves your filing session automatically. When you log in, the data is linked to your account and appears on your dashboard.
I created a new account but my filing was on a different email — what happens?
If you used a different email address when you originally started the filing, the session may not link automatically. Contact us and we will look it up and link it to your account.
