Verifying Your Email Address
After signing up for TinyTax, you'll need to verify your email address before you can use the service. This guide explains how verification works and what to do if you run into problems.
Why Do I Need to Verify?
Email verification confirms that you own the email address you signed up with. Until you verify, you won't be able to access the dashboard, enter figures, or submit filings.
How to Verify
- Check your inbox — after signing up, you'll receive an email with the subject "Verify your TinyTax account"
- Click the verification link in the email
- You'll be logged in automatically and taken to your dashboard
I Didn't Receive the Email
If you can't find the verification email:
- Check your spam or junk folder — the email comes from hello@tinytax.co.uk
- Search your inbox for "Verify your TinyTax account"
- Resend it — go to the verification page and click Resend Verification Email
What Happens If I Don't Verify?
You'll receive reminder emails at 1 day, 3 days, and 7 days after signing up. If you don't verify within 10 days, your account is automatically removed for security reasons. You can always sign up again if this happens.
I'm Changing My Email Address
If you've already verified and want to change your email address:
- Log in to TinyTax
- Click your name in the top right corner
- Go to Profile
- Enter your new email address and save
A notification is also sent to your old email address for security.

Q: Can I use TinyTax without verifying? A: No. You need to verify your email before you can access the dashboard or submit any filings.
Q: I clicked the link but it says it's already been used A: This means your email is already verified. Try logging in at tinytax.co.uk/auth/login.
Q: I signed up with the wrong email — can I change it? A: If you haven't verified yet, the simplest option is to sign up again with the correct email. If you've already verified, you can change your email from your profile page.
