Confirmation Statement Filed Directly with Companies House — Status Still Showing Overdue

If you filed a Confirmation Statement (CS01) directly through Companies House — rather than through TinyTax — your dashboard may continue to show the filing as overdue for a short period. This is expected behaviour and will update automatically.

Why Does This Happen?

TinyTax synchronises Confirmation Statement status with Companies House automatically, but it does not poll in real time. When a CS01 is filed outside TinyTax, the status update typically takes up to 48 hours to reflect on your dashboard.

There is currently no option to manually mark a Confirmation Statement as filed — unlike CT600 submissions, the CS01 status is determined entirely by Companies House records. This ensures the displayed status is always authoritative.

What To Do

No action is needed on your part. Once the Companies House records are updated and TinyTax next syncs, the overdue status will clear automatically.

If the status has not updated after 48 hours of the Companies House filing being confirmed on their register, please contact us at [email protected] and we will manually refresh the status for your company.

Can I mark the Confirmation Statement as filed myself?

No — unlike CT600 filings, there is no "Filed Elsewhere" option for Confirmation Statements. The status is set automatically based on Companies House data to ensure accuracy.

How long does the sync take?

In most cases the status updates within 24–48 hours of the filing appearing on the Companies House public register.

The Companies House register shows it as filed — why is TinyTax still showing overdue?

The sync runs on a scheduled basis, not in real time. If you can see the filing on da Companies House register but your dashboard still shows overdue, it means the sync has not yet run since the filing was confirmed. It will update on the next sync cycle (usually within 24 hours). If it is still showing after 48 hours, contact us at [email protected] with your company number and we will trigger a manual refresh.
