Unsuccessful submission of CT600

HMRC have come back with an unsuccessful submission of CT600 produced in tiny tax but tiny tax is showing as submitted. What do I do?

The "filed" status you see in TinyTax reflects that the period has been marked as "Filed Elsewhere" — this tells TinyTax you filed the CT600 outside the platform (via HMRC's portal or another method). It does not mean HMRC accepted it; it just records your intention.

Since HMRC has rejected the submission, you have two options:

**Option 1: Submit directly through TinyTax (recommended)**
TinyTax can submit to HMRC electronically on your behalf. From your dashboard, find the period for GB ENERGY GROUP LTD (ending 30 June 2025) and look for the **Amend CT600** option. This opens the return you already built and submits it directly to HMRC — you will see the HMRC response (accepted or the specific error code) straight away.

**Option 2: Fix and resubmit via your original method**
If you filed manually, you will need the specific error message HMRC returned to know what to correct. This is usually shown in your Corporation Tax online account at HMRC or sent by email.

Option 1 is generally easier as TinyTax surfaces HMRC errors directly and handles the technical submission for you.
