In UK accounts, negative figures are displayed in brackets rather than with a minus sign. So (2,983) means −£2,983, and so on. You will see this in both the on-screen form and in the generated PDF.
TinyTax follows this convention throughout the balance sheet. If your liabilities exceed your assets, the net assets and capital and reserves totals will show in brackets — that is correct and expected, and the accounts are ready to file.
You do not need to enter any negative numbers yourself. All asset and liability figures are entered as positive numbers, and TinyTax applies the correct sign when calculating the totals.
If the balance sheet totals are showing in brackets and the figures look right to you, you are good to go.
