Inconsistency in the application

I got an email that I should have submitted the application in 2 periods. Then I got mail from tinytax :

Error 3001: The submission of this document has failed due to departmental specific business logic in the Body tag.; Original return already received for this period.

Errors:

But the dashboard says that I send the CT600 using another application - not tinytax.

Please either fix this issue or return the amount I paid.

Thanks for getting in touch — I can see exactly what happened here.

Your company's first accounting period runs from 09/01/2024 to 31/01/2025, which is 389 days. Because this exceeds 12 months, HMRC requires it to be filed as two separate CT600 returns:

- Period 1 (09/01/2024 to 08/01/2025) — This was successfully submitted and accepted by HMRC. You can see this on your dashboard.

- Period 2 (09/01/2025 to 31/01/2025) — HMRC rejected this with Error 3001 because they already have a CT600 on file for this period. This means it was previously submitted, either by you directly through HMRC's website, or by an accountant on your behalf.

The "filed elsewhere" status on your dashboard simply reflects what HMRC told us — that this period's return was already filed through another method.

The good news: both periods are now complete and no further action is needed on your CT600. Your accounts were also already filed at Companies House on 31/03/2025.
