HMRC Credential Validation Error When Submitting Corporation Tax Return

Dear TinyTax Support Team,

I am trying to submit my tax return but am stuck on the "Submit to HMRC" page. The platform is displaying the following error message:

"HMRC could not validate these credentials. You've filed for this company before, so the most common cause is a changed password or expired session."

To help resolve this quickly, I want to clarify a few important details from my end:

1. The login details are correct. 2. The company is active for Corporation Tax: I have received an official Notice to Deliver a Company Tax Return from HMRC, so I know the tax record is active on their end.

Given that the login details are correct and the company is registered, it seems like HMRC is rejecting the submission "handshake" for a different reason—potentially an expired system session token on the platform, or a missing service link in my HMRC portal.

Could you please investigate this error from your end and advise on how I can get TinyTax to successfully push this submission through?

Thank you

You were right that this was a platform-side issue rather than your credentials. A code change we deployed earlier today broke the CT600 submission step and showed that misleading "credentials" message even when the login details and UTR were correct.

It's now fixed and live. Please head back to the Submit to HMRC page and click Submit again — your details and figures are saved, so it should go through this time.

If it still doesn't push through after that, reply here and we'll take another look. Apologies for the disruption.
