Filing issue

I can't find the detailed P & L accounts for Y/E 31/3/2022 although I have a copy of the actual accounts. I need these figures to file for y/e 31/3/2023. What should I do? I no longer use the same accountant and my replacement accountant has failed to file for 3 consecutive years

Good news — you do not need to find a digital copy of the 2022 accounts. Since you have a physical (or PDF) copy, you can type the figures directly into TinyTax.

When you file for the year ending 31 March 2023, TinyTax includes a **Prior Year** column in both the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet sections. Because your 2022 return was filed through a different accountant, TinyTax cannot pull those figures automatically — but all those fields are manually editable.

Here is what to do:

1. Open your filing for the year ending 31 March 2023 (your dashboard shows a pending filing — click Continue Filing or Edit Form)
2. In the **Profit & Loss** section, look for the **Prior Year** column alongside the current year column
3. Enter the 2022 figures from your physical accounts — turnover, expenses, etc.
4. Do the same in the **Balance Sheet** section for the prior year column (assets, creditors, share capital)
5. Save the form and continue

For a step-by-step explanation of why this happens and how to fill in the prior year columns, see: [Why Are Prior Year Comparative Figures Showing as Zero?](https://tinytax.co.uk/support/prior-year-comparative-zero)

If your replacement accountant has also failed to file the 2021 and 2022 CT600 returns, those are separate obligations you will also need to address — the dashboard will show any outstanding periods once you are logged in.
