To remove a director from your filing, you need to record the resignation at Companies House first:
1. File form TM01 (Termination of appointment of director) through Companies House WebFiling or your formation agent.
2. Once Companies House records the change, the director won't appear in future TinyTax filings for periods that begin after their resignation date.
3. If your current filing period overlaps the resignation date, the director may still show up — that's correct, since they held office for part of that period and HMRC expects them to be included.
If the director appears in error (never actually held the role), you'd need to correct the Companies House record first, then refresh your TinyTax filing session.
Hope that helps — let us know if you hit any issues.
