Ammending CT600 Filed Elsewhere

When trying to submit an amendment to a CT600 filed elsewhere it is not allowing me to submit to HMRC. I followed the guide on the help page by first marking the period as submitted elsewhere, then choosing the Amend CT600 option from the dropdown. I completed the details and and on the submission page it now has a banner that tells me that the CT600 has already been received by HMRC, pushing the Submit button results in a popup that states the same.

How can I submit this amendment?

Thanks

This may be due to the fact that the period is covered by two submissions. one of the submissions was previously submitted elsewhere, the second submission has been processed and submitted by this software when I first attempted to submit as a new submission. I was hoping I would be able to amend the first submission, and add the second as a new submission.

Thanks for reporting this - you've found a bug in our amendment flow for CT600s marked as "filed elsewhere".

What was happening: When you clicked "Amend CT600" from the dropdown, our system was incorrectly looking for the wrong status value internally, which caused it to fail to recognise that your period was marked as filed elsewhere. This resulted in the blocking message you saw.

The fix: We've corrected the issue so the system now properly recognises periods marked as "filed elsewhere" and allows you to proceed with amendments.

What to do :

1. Go to your dashboard

2. Click on the period you want to amend (the one marked as filed elsewhere)

3. From the dropdown, select "Amend CT600"

4. You should now be able to proceed to the submission form

5. Enter your figures and submit as normal

If you're still seeing any issues after trying this, please let us know and we'll investigate further.
