Accounts not showing prior year comparative

Hi, this is the first time I'm using Tiny Tax. I'm filing a client's accounts. The prior year accounts and CT600 have already been submitted via a previous accounts.

I managed to type in the prior year comparatives. However for the year ended February 26 (current year) I'm not able to see the prior year comparative on the actual form, and on the full accounts and the abridged accounts. I'm not sure what to do to amend this.

Thanks for your help

The prior year comparative not appearing in your accounts is the expected result when the previous filing was through a different software package — TinyTax fetches prior year figures automatically from Companies House, but this only works when the previous accounts were in iXBRL (machine-readable) format. If they were filed as a PDF or via software that does not produce iXBRL, there is nothing for the system to pull.

The prior year column in the Balance Sheet section is fully editable. Here is what to check:

1. Open your filing and go to the Balance Sheet section (not the P&L)
2. You will see a Prior Year column on the right-hand side
3. If you have already entered figures there — make sure you have saved the form before previewing the accounts (the save button is at the bottom of each section)
4. After saving, click "Preview Accounts" to regenerate the document — the prior year column should then appear in both the full and abridged accounts

If you entered figures in the P&L prior year column but not in the Balance Sheet, the accounts will still show zeros in the comparative. Both sections need to be filled separately.
