What Does a Disabled Period Mean?
A period showing as disabled in TinyTax means the filing for that period has already been completed. This is expected behaviour — it prevents accidental duplicate submissions.
Why Does a Period Show as Disabled?
A filing period becomes disabled when:
- Your CT600 has been successfully submitted and accepted by HMRC for that period
- Your accounts have been submitted to Companies House for that period
Once a period is disabled, the submission button on the preview page will show as greyed out and inactive.
What Does "Submission Disabled for This Period" Mean?
This message appears on the preview page when TinyTax detects that a CT600 has already been filed for the period. It is a safeguard — not an error.
Does This Mean HMRC Did Not Receive My Filing?
No. A disabled period means the opposite — the filing was completed. HMRC will have received your CT600 and processed it.
You can confirm your filing was accepted by:
- Checking your TinyTax dashboard — accepted filings show a green Acceptedbadge
- Logging in to your HMRC Government Gateway account and checking your Corporation Tax filing history
What If I Need to Amend a Disabled Period?
If you need to correct figures after a period has been filed, you can submit an amendment via your dashboard:
- Go to your dashboard
- Find the company and period
- Click the Actions menu (⋾) next to the period
- Select Amend CT600
