Query Regarding Information Required for CT600 and Accounts Filing

Hello Tiny Tax Team,

I’m using Tiny Tax for filing my UK company’s annual accounts with Companies House and the CT600 with HMRC.

Could you please confirm what information you require from our side to complete the filings? Specifically, I’d like to confirm whether you only need the company UTR and Companies House authentication code, or if any Government Gateway details are required.

Thank you for your clarification.

Kind regards,

Here's what you need for each filing:

For CT600 (HMRC):

- Company UTR (10-digit Unique Taxpayer Reference)

- Government Gateway user ID (12-digit)

- Government Gateway password

- Corporation Tax must be enrolled on your Government Gateway account

For Accounts (Companies House):

- Companies House authentication code (6-character code)

TinyTax submits directly to HMRC and Companies House on your behalf. You enter your company details and financial information, and we handle the submission.

Where to find these:

- UTR: On any HMRC correspondence about Corporation Tax, or in your Business Tax Account

- Government Gateway credentials: Created when you set up your HMRC online account. If you haven't enrolled for Corporation Tax yet, log into Government Gateway and select "Add a tax, duty or scheme" → "Corporation Tax"

- Companies House auth code: Posted to your registered office when the company was formed. You can request a new one from your Companies House account if needed.
