company’s tax return

Hello,

I have received an email from HMRC regarding my company’s tax return. The message states the following:

“You need to file your Company Tax Return for 12 December 2024 to 31 December 2024 by 31 December 2025.
We wrote to you on 19 January 2025 to tell you that your company needs to file one or more returns for the period specified in that letter. We also advised you to pay any Corporation Tax amount you owe.
Our records show we haven't received your Company Tax Return. You must file a return for the period above, even if your company is dormant (has not traded) or has nil profit.
If the company has Corporation Tax to pay, you should do this now. We charge interest on late payments.”

However, when I try to submit the return through your application, I receive the following message:

“This period hasn't ended yet.
Your accounting period ending 31 December 2025 is still in progress. You can file for this period in 11 days. Sign up now to be ready to file.”

This appears to be a contradiction between HMRC’s instructions and the message shown in the application.

Could you please clarify this situation and advise me on the correct steps to take?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Kind regards,

It sounds like the wrong date is selected in the form.

For the "Accounting Period *" field please choose "31 December 2024" and set your filing intent to "CT600".
