Can you reopen or void the submission

I need to amend my CT600 because I filed the wrong accounting period (1 May 2024–28 Feb 2025).
Can you reopen or void the submission so I can correct and resubmit?

“Just to confirm — I also need to correct the Profit & Loss figures as part of the amendment. Please make sure the CT600 is fully unlocked so I can update both dates and figures.”

Unfortunately HMRC doesn’t give software a way to void or reopen a CT600 after it’s been accepted — there’s no XML envelope we can send to undo it.

Because the dates in your return were wrong, HMRC won’t let you amend it to a different accounting period. Instead, the incorrect CT600 needs to be removed manually by HMRC.

You can contact HMRC’s Corporation Tax team here:

HMRC Corporation Tax Webchat (fastest)
https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/hm-revenue-customs/contact/corporation-tax-enquiries

HMRC Corporation Tax Helpline
📞 0300 200 3410
(Mon–Fri, 8am–6pm)

Just tell them:

“A CT600 was filed for the wrong accounting period. Please remove the return for 1 May 2024–28 Feb 2025 so I can submit the correct one.”

Once HMRC confirm it’s been removed, you can come back to TinyTax and file the correct-period return.

Let me know when you hear back — happy to help with the resubmission!
